About me

Update: I have successfully defended my qualification exam (in Princeton, aka, general exam), and obtained my Master of Arts (MA) in Computer Science in Jun 2015.

I am so proud and grateful to have the most fantanstic Prof. Jennifer Rexford (CS Department Chair) as my research advisor. I have done a wide spectrum of networking research with Prof. Jen Rexford, including Network Verification and Debugging, Theoretical Network Flow Problems, Online Video Streaming Algorithms, and future-generation network architecture with the support for Middleboxes. I had a very productive two year research career, thanks to the great amount of help from my awesome advisor Jen Rexford, as well as many brilliant collaborators: Moses Charikar, Ronaldo Ferreira, Xin Jin, Yonatan Naamad, Pamela Zave and many others...

Before that I finished my undergraduate study in Computer Science at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, co-advised by two brilliant rising stars: Prof. Philip Brighten Godfrey and Prof. Matthew Caesar, where I was involved in VeriFlow project. I am very proud of being one of the lead in VeriFlow project. VeriFlow as the first verification tool that can check network dataplane in real time has received wide attention from public like this and this, and my old colleagues at UIUC includes Prof. Godfrey and Prof. Caesar are now doing a startup at Chicago based on the prototype we had in NSDI.

My research interest mainly lays in an interpolation between system and algorithmic designs.
